Dr. Michael Luong, DDS

Hello Everyone!

I’m Dr. Michael Luong, but everyone Calls me Dr. Mike. I am a pediatric dentist in Tacoma, WA and have been practicing for roughly 10 years now. I’m originally from Pullman, WA but a true Pacific Northwestern at heart.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude in Molecular/Cellular Biology and Biotechnology from Washington State University in 2007, GO COUGS!! I then began my dental journey at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where I graduated in 2011. GO TROJANS!! While at USCSD, I participated in several outreach programs where we were able to provide dentistry for those less fortunate. While working these outreach programs I was motivated to go into pediatric dentistry which led me to further my education by moving across country to Boston, Massachusetts where I attended the Henry Goldman School of dentistry and obtained my certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Pediatric Dentistry. After two long and very cold years I made my way back home where I have been living since. Since starting out I have seen many families grow up and start families of their own and continue to trust me with their care. Just like I have seen other families grow they have also watched me grow and have followed me on this Journey! I now have two kids of my own, one dog, and one turtle!

I am a board certified pediatric dentist and a diplomate of the American board of pediatric dentistry.

I am happy and honored to serve my community and look forward to seeing each and everyone of my patients everyday!

Hello everyone, my name is Ruby. I was born and raised in Washington State. A year after graduationg high school in 2016 I attended the Everest Dental Assisting Program and i have been working as a Dental Assistant since 2018.

Growing up I never had a good dental experience which is why I enjoy working with kids and teens the most. I want to make sure they grow up with a positive and comfortable dental experience.

I am excited to be part of such a great team! and I look forward in being able to help.

When not working I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with my pets and significant other!

Shalonda , RDA

Hello, my name is Shalonda. I have been a a noteworthy leader and constant professional at Smiles4Kids dentistry among other local dental offices for over nine years. I’ve held numerous positions in the dental field such as; Lead Dental Assistant, Dental Instructor, and Clinical Manager. I have also been recognized with awards for my passion and dedication to my dental profession. I have always wanted  kids to remember to have great oral hygiene so I came up with a phrase so they can remember to brush and floss. I was credited for coining the phrase “Floss is Boss”,  which this dental practice is named after. 

A native of Tacoma, I have a wonderful husband of 16 years and 4 children to whom are patients of Dr. Mike, 2 fur babies and 1 turtle. You can find me spending time with my family and friends, decorating, and hosting parties in my free time.

Gabby - Office Admin

Hi! I'm Gabby and I am the manager here at Floss is Boss.

I started working in the dental field over five years ago! Since then I have explored different areas within the field like General Dentistry, Orthodontics, and other specialties. Ultimately my heart belongs in Pediatrics!

Over the years I have made some amazing relationships working in this field both with co-workers who are now long-life friends and with families who will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Growing up the dentist was never a place I wanted to go to, it was never warm and welcoming and it was never an enjoyable experience.

I am so happy we get to create a space for families that they can trust and an environment where kids feel safe!

Hello everyone my name is Bri, short for Brianna.

Born in California but a Washington resident for over 10 years!

I enjoy hiking and family time. I'm a young mom of two handsome little guys, my boy means the world to me. I am who I am today because of them. We have two funny amazing pets Titan the Cat and Rheya the dog.

I enjoy working with kids and I’m excited to be here!

Hi! My name is Jazmine but everyone calls me Jazzy !

I have two spoiled rotten fur babies, Mooana and Koko. We like going on walks or cuddling on the couch.

I enjoy working with children and I cant wait to see where my Floss Is Boss journey takes me. I look forward to seeing everyone!
